BEAR was established in 2008 by a team of management consultant, serial entrepreneurs, coding guru and advertising veterans with extensive experiences across multinational firms in Greater China and U.S. Aiming at the uprising online advertising market, it soon teamed up with Mochi Media, the world largest Flash-based gaming advertising network and bridged Mochi’s ad product MochiAds to Asia. Then, the company also established its own in-game advertising network “GameAD” a.k.a. “IGA”.
In June 2013, the company was re-acquired by the cofounders and injected with a new round of investment from the founding team and angel investors, aiming to provide integrated advertising service for mobile gaming and lifestyle clients with both integrated media panning/buying service and self-deployed CPI/CPA based mobile user acquisition product.
The company’s name, BEAR, stands for Formosan black bear featuring “V” mark on the chest, the only native bears in Taiwan, the cofounders’ motherland.
